Greeters serve a very important role as they warmly welcome members and guests to worship! The role of a greeter is to make every person who comes to worship at Grace feel not only welcome, but also comfortable and “at home”.

Ushers

Ushers serve an important role in worship. People attending the service, especially guests, look to the ushers for direction or assistance. Ushers should be welcoming and helpful to everyone attending, allowing for the Pastor to focus on the service and the congregation to focus on worship and feel welcome.

Communion Servers

Communion servers assist the pastor in serving the Lord’s Supper during most worship services at Grace. By offering the Body and Blood of Christ in the form of a wafer and either wine or grape juice, Communion servers connect worshippers with the grace and forgiveness of Jesus through the sacrament of Holy Communion.

Musicians

Grace Lutheran has a great heritage and love of music, both traditional and contemporary. Music is one of the ways in which we offer worship and praise to God each Sunday. If you are interested in being a song leader, playing an instrument, offering special music, or singing in the choir, please email Erika Bierman at [email protected].

Media

Our media volunteers play a vital role, though behind-the-scenes, in our worship services! Sound board operators allow the pastor, speakers, and musicians to be heard in worship and online. Projectionists and slide creators allow worshipers to participate easily with the use of the screens. Our video and camera operators allow our worship service to be livestreamed to many viewers, both homebound in Luverne and around the country and even world.
