Staff & Leadership

Tylene joined Grace in 2017. She and her husband live on a farm west of Luverne. They enjoy spending time with their 4 children and 9 grandchildren. Tylene enjoys providing assistance to Grace members and her daily office administration. She is part of the glue that keeps the office running smoothly and is often the first face one will encounter at Grace during the week.

Erika Bierman serves as our Children, Youth and Family Coordinator for Birth – 8th grade, and is also our Worship and Music Coordinator. For Youth and Family, Erika oversees faith formation ministries including Little Lights (infants and toddlers), Fireflies (preschool and Kindergarten), and Spark Kids (1st-5th Grade). She also works with Pastor Sarah to coordinate the 6-8th grade Ignite Youth. Ignite has weekly faith formation classes on Wednesdays that culminate with their Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation) during their 9th grade year.

As Worship and Music Coordinator, Erika works with Pastor Sarah, music staff, and the Worship and Music ministry to plan weekly worship services. She also coordinates volunteer song leaders for worship and rehearses weekly with the worship team.

With a background in Music Education, Erika appreciates the opportunity to live into her vocation by working with children and youth AND music every week.

Carrie is the youth director for the 9-12th grade GLOW crew. She was born and raised in Luverne and lives on a farm with her husband, Chad. They are blessed with three boys: Nathan, Connor, and Zachary. She loves all of the amazing youth at Grace and is grateful to have a front row seat watching God work through all of them. She really appreciates that the youth are always willing to go along with her crazy ideas!

Kathy joined Grace as the Operations Coordinator in 2022. She keeps everything running smoothly in the building. She can often be seen making sure the facility is clean and working well, setting up for all of the ways the building serves our community, and facilitating events. Kathy is also the Wedding Coordinator.

Whitney joined Grace as the Faith Community Nurse in 2022. This is a new role that continues to evolve to serve the needs of Grace members. Whitney is most often seen connecting our home-bound members to church by visitation, phone calls, cards, and the occasional treat box. She brought the GriefShare program to Grace in 2022 and continues to care for members who are grieving.
